In this project, the architecture of the sacred is subjected to a process of systematic observation. The framing is constant, the perspective neutralized. Each door is an autonomous unit, yet it is through serial comparison and accumulation that the work finds its meaning: the portal gradually loses its sacrality and reveals itself as a threshold.
Repetition produces a perceptual shift. Ornament and symbolism are stripped of their aura and returned to a primary function: to mark a "within" and a "without". Removed from its ritual context, the portal is no longer an object of devotion but an architectural device. A filter between public and consecrated space.
